What RBI rules say lenders can and cannot do when collecting dues.

Recovery agents must not - Call before 8 am or after 7 pm. - Threaten, abuse or humiliate you. - Contact your friends, family or colleagues. - Share your photos or personal data.
What you can do - Record calls and save messages. - Complain to the lender's grievance officer, then the RBI Ombudsman via cms.rbi.org.in. - File a police complaint for threats or morphed images. - Open a CreditSafe case so an advisor can help you escalate.
